We are a student-run non-profit organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the Central PA area and in South Kashmir. Our mission involves pairing high school students with refugee families, offering vital support such as counseling, mentorship, tutoring, and financial aid to children affected by armed conflict. With a commitment to closing the opportunity gap and advocating for justice, we've already assisted over 650 refugee students and conflict-affected children. Currently, The Hikmah Foundation is made up of a group of high schoolers who serve as tutors for the organization. They have been trained in approaching students dealing with trauma and providing effective counseling and mentorship, allowing us to reach and empower these students. Our efforts extend beyond aiding in acclimation; we focus on helping children overcome trauma and transition toward a hopeful future. Our initiatives include organizing literacy camps, providing hundreds of tutoring lessons, and ultimately working towards our goal of building a better world.
This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people who are conveniently forgotten by most
Students of various Central PA High Schools volunteer their time and effort to help dozens of refugee families integrate into mainstream America
Schools from Conflict Zones like Kashmir benefit from the foundation's efforts as we provide funding, tutoring services, and counseling to children living in said areas.
